Where We Work
Coles County Tree Co. works out of Charleston, IL, where IL-16 and IL-130 cross and the Embarras River runs along the east side of town. From here we cover all of Coles County and the nearby parts of Cumberland, Douglas, Clark, Edgar and Shelby counties, from Loxa and Lerna out to Windsor.
Most of these towns grow the same bur oaks, silver maples and hackberries on the same deep prairie silt loam, and take the same spring and summer storms. So instead of a vague "all of central Illinois," the list below is exactly where we go: the close-in Coles County places, Westfield over the Clark line, then Kansas, Arcola, Hindsboro, Tuscola, Toledo, Greenup, Neoga, Casey and Windsor.

Cumberland County seat, about 25 road miles. Older homes under older oaks, plus storm cleanup after a summer thunderstorm.
Cumberland County, about 19 road miles. Same crew, same trees, same written price as in Charleston.
Clark County, about 31 road miles. A town of its own, and a short drive for us compared to a crew coming from farther out.
Cumberland County, about 24 road miles. Village yards and farm-edge lots where dead ash stands over a lot of driveways.
Douglas County seat, about 32 road miles. A county seat with mature street trees and plenty of yard oaks and maples.
Shelby County, about 24 road miles. Our western edge, straight out IL-16, at the Charleston price.
