Local & Insured
Rardin is an unincorporated community in Morgan Township, Coles County, Illinois, the township on Charleston Township's north side, about eleven miles and twenty-five minutes from our shop by county road. It even shares Charleston's 61920 ZIP code. It sits at about 669 feet on flat prairie, reached by section-line two-lanes with ditches on both sides, so a loaded chip truck takes its time.
The trees are farm-country trees: hackberry and silver maple in fencerows, a lone shagbark hickory or bur oak at a field corner, cottonwood along the ditches, and borer-killed ash standing gray over half the farmsteads. A dead ash beside a grain bin is our most common call up here.

Removal, stump grinding, trimming and clearing, priced the same as they are eleven miles south.

Dead ash, storm-broken maples and leaning trees removed in sections and hauled away the same day. Details and pricing →

Stumps ground out below the grass line so you can mow, plant or reseed right over the spot. Details and pricing →

Dead limbs, hazard branches and clearance off the roof and the street, done so the tree stays healthy. We don't top trees. Details and pricing →

Brush-choked back lots, fencerows and building sites cleared and cleaned up before anything else goes in. Details and pricing →
Why a Charleston Crew Comes to Rardin
Rardin mail comes through Charleston, and Rardin work is priced the same way. No trip charge, same written estimate, same insured crew.
Dead ash stands beside bins, machine sheds and lanes all over Morgan Township. It drops limbs without a storm, so we take it down while the wood still holds a climber's rope.
Fencerow hackberry and silver maple grow into the roadside lines along the section roads. Dale's nine seasons clearing lines in these counties tell him when the utility needs a call first.
Section roads here are narrow with deep ditches. We check the approach and turnaround at the estimate and cone off the shoulder where the truck has to sit.
Not for a tree on your own lot; we found no Coles County permit for private land. The rules that bite are about the street: limbs over it need clearance, and a dead tree threatening the road can be ruled a nuisance. If your Rardin tree reaches a public street or walk, a quick call to the local office comes first. See our permits page.
If a fencerow tree or a dead ash on your Rardin farm needs to come down, call us or send the form. We'll look in person and put a free price on paper.
Type your town or ZIP and we'll tell you whether the Charleston crew makes the drive.
